Marilyn Hembrick, LPC

Marilyn is a wise and compassionate counselor.  Before becoming a licensed professional counselor, she served in both business and volunteer leadership positions.  Marilyn uses trauma-informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Narrative Therapy to help her clients through their emotional pains and life challenges.  She helps clients embrace the power of God and the Holy Spirit for recovery, restoration, and reconciliation.  

Marilyn earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling at Liberty University. She has worked for numerous years in the business sector. Her leadership roles include leading women’s ministry groups, youth mentoring programs, youth church groups, and volunteering at the YWCA Women’s Shelter. In addition to her business experience, Marilyn acquired a Pastoral Care and Counseling Diploma and a Certificate in Formational Prayer from The Center for New Life School of Continuing Ministry in Richmond, Virginia.

Marilyn’s passion lies in being that conduit to her clients to overcome the emotional toll of depression, anxiety, stress, family and relationship issues, career transition, grief, forgiveness, and sexual and/or physical trauma. In addition, her business career and work experiences enable her to assist clients in planning their career paths and career transitions.
