Lindsey Koerner is a resident in counseling for the State of Virginia, having completed an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and post-graduate work in Professional Counseling through Virginia Commonwealth University. In the field of rehabilitation, Lindsey has worked in hospital, vocational, and residential settings to assist clients in improving their quality of life in times of transition.
Her journey in professional counseling is led by a heart for people and a strong belief in the client’s ability to create wanted change in their lives with the support of therapeutic relationships, the implementation of new tools and strategies, and their personal faith. Using an eclectic approach, Lindsey incorporates mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and trauma-informed facets to create a foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy.
Lindsey works primarily with adult clients seeking support for depression, anxiety, challenging life transitions, relational difficulties, ADHD, grief, and vocational stressors.
